Gray days

2010

Gray Days, first individual by Natalia Revilla, explores the scope of drawing, understood as an act that evokes silences from memory. The show incorporates violent images taken from documentary sources and reworks them together with elements of a fantastic imaginary, interweaving them in a new narrative marked by irresolution. These are Gray Days that leave us full of questions. What happened? Why? What was left? The exhibition talks about the remnants of violence absorbed through mediated images. Their presence provokes a paradoxical estrangement, in which the memory of the un-lived-directly but felt in the air, filters into the imaginary of a generation, claiming it almost as if it was strangled cry.
